About this trip

Experience the raw power of the African wild on this premier safari across the East African plains. Your journey begins in Nairobi, Kenya’s high-energy capital, before heading into the heart of the action.

The Main Event: Maasai Mara (3 Days)

Witness the Great Migration, the world’s most spectacular wildlife transition. Over three days in the legendary Maasai Mara, you will track the "Big Five" and watch over a million wildebeest and zebras traverse the savanna.

  • All-Inclusive Dining: Focus entirely on the wilderness; all gourmet meals and sundowners are included during your stay in the Mara.

  • Front-Row Seats: Expert-led game drives timed to catch the most dramatic river crossings and predator sightings.

The Ultimate Add-on: Tanzanian Tropical Bliss

Why let the adventure end? Trade the wildlife plains for the white sands and vibrant soul of the Tanzanian coast.

  • Pristine Relaxation: Sink into a hammock on world-class beaches where the water is a permanent shade of turquoise.

  • Underwater Eden: Grab a snorkel and drift over coral reefs teeming with exotic marine life and curious sea turtles.

  • A Cultural Fusion: Immerse yourself in a mix of African, Arabian, and Indian influences—from the winding, spice-scented alleys of Stone Town to fresh seafood feasts under the stars.

Flights

Roundtrip international airfare and all required regional flights included in the itinerary are included in your package. Flight schedules, airline information, baggage allowances, and travel documents will be finalized and communicated to all travelers approximately 30 days prior to departure. We will provide complete flight details and travel instructions to ensure a smooth and stress-free travel experience.

Entry Requirements & Vaccinations

Entry Requirements:

  • Passport Validity = Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your arrival date.

  • Blank Pages = At least 2 blank "Visa" pages (Kenya and Tanzania often use full-page stickers/stamps).

  • Proof of Onward Travel = You must be able to show a confirmed flight out of the country.

  • Kenya: Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) = $35, two weeks before travel

  • Tanzania: Multiple-Entry Visa = $100, two weeks before travel

  • Tanzania Insurance = $45, two weeks before travel

Vaccines:

  • Yellow Fever = Mandatory (Required for the Kenya to Tanzania crossing)

  • Malaria Pills = Essential (High risk in the Mara and coastal regions.)

  • Hepatitis A = Recommended (High protection against food/water risks.)

  • Typhoid = Recommended (Essential for rural safari areas.)

  • Polio Booster = Recommended (One-time adult booster is currently advised.)

Since Yellow Fever vaccines are specialized and sometimes have supply limitations, you should book your appointment at least 4–6 weeks before your trip.

Use the CDC’s Official Search Tool: Go to the CDC Yellow Fever Vaccination Clinic Search. You can search by city or zip code to find the nearest authorized center.

Important Tips for Your Visit:

  • The 10-Day Rule: The vaccine is considered valid starting 10 days after the shot. Do not wait until the week you leave, or you may be denied entry into Tanzania.

  • Lifetime Validity: As of 2016, a single Yellow Fever shot is now considered valid for life. If you have been vaccinated previously, you do not need a booster, but you must find your original "Yellow Card."

  • Insurance: Many insurance plans do not cover "travel-only" vaccines. Expect to pay between $200 and $350 for the Yellow Fever shot and the required consultation fee if your plan doesn't cover it.

Booking & Payment Policy

To ensure the seamless coordination of your safari and coastal arrangements, the following terms apply to all bookings. Please review these carefully before submitting your deposit.

1. Non-Refundable Payments

All payments made toward your trip—including initial deposits and subsequent installments—are strictly non-refundable.

  • Why this policy exists: Once received, your funds are immediately used to secure non-refundable permits, luxury bush camp accommodations, and private guide services that require advance commitment to guarantee availability during the Great Migration.

2. No Payment Transfers

Payments are specific to the individual traveler and the confirmed departure dates.

  • Non-Transferable to Others: Payments cannot be transferred to another person or applied to a different traveler’s balance.

  • Non-Transferable to Future Dates: Funds cannot be "credited" toward a future year or a different trip itinerary in the event of a cancellation.

3. Late Payments & Forfeiture

  • Final Balance: The full remaining balance is due 30 days prior to departure.

  • Automatic Cancellation: Failure to remit the final payment by the specified due date may result in the automatic cancellation of your reservation and the forfeiture of all previous payments.

4. Mandatory Travel Insurance

Because all payments are non-refundable, we strongly require all guests to purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy.

  • Recommendation: Ensure your policy includes "Cancel For Any Reason" (CFAR) coverage. This is the only way to protect your investment should you need to cancel due to illness, family emergencies, or unexpected work conflicts.

*By submitting your initial deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the non-refundable and non-transferable nature of this booking.
